Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the independent provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only what the sender chooses to include and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services may create routine logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregated information to maintain the service and understand general page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
The information supports operation, troubleshooting, aggregate traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to Genesee County and Michigan records portals, library collections, archives, and independent search tools. Those organizations control information submitted on their own services. The same is true of sponsored search results supplied by an outside provider.
Who Might See Your Data
Providers that host or support the service process the technical logs described above. Analytics and advertising partners may receive that automatic data. Information is disclosed only when valid legal process requires disclosure or as otherwise described here.
How We Protect Your Data
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described above. No visitor account, password, or personal profile is created here.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect information from a person under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information, and it will be removed.
Your Information Choices
You may ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal data that this service holds. Because little data is retained, a request usually involves the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to make that request. Michigan public records held by a township, county, court, or state agency are outside our control. Michigan FOIA, MCL 15.231 through 15.246, governs access to existing non-exempt public records; source-record corrections belong with the custodian.
Updates to This Policy
Changes to this policy will appear here. Continued use after a posted revision means acceptance of the revised policy.
